If you’re headed to Cornwall, there are many places that you should see. Here are three that you don’t want to miss:
1. The Beaches
Cornwall has many miles of beaches that are there to be enjoyed by friends and family members who get together on holiday. There are also there for people who want solitude and for people who want to walk with their loved one. No matter what you’re looking for - a romantic rendezvous or a fun play day with your children - you can get it on the beaches of Cornwall. There are so many of them and they are all the same but yet just a little bit different. It ensures that you can get what you want and need from a beach experience while you’re on holiday.
2. The Coast
The coastline and the beaches aren’t the same thing, although a lot of people seem to think that’s the case. Beaches are for frolicking and sunbathing. They are for swimming and for letting children make sandcastles. The coast, though, is more rugged. It can be rocky; there are cliffs. The coast is for watching the waves crash on a chilly, windy day. They are for admiring nature’s beauty when there’s a storm coming in. They are for letting the sun shine on you and looking out across the water to see how far you can see. It’s something that you don’t want to miss out on, especially if you enjoy the awe-inspiring beauty that nature can have.
3. Cornwall Gardens
When you’re exploring the beauty of nature, one of the best ways to do it is through gardens and plants. Visiting Cornwall Gardens is a way that you can do this in a little bit of a controlled environment. You don’t have to go all over Cornwall and the surrounding areas to see nature’s bounty but you still get to see a wide variety of plants. It’s something that both young and old can really enjoy looking at for hours, and there are many different garden areas within Cornwall Gardens, so there is something for everyone.

If the recent spell of good weather has inspired you to snap up one of the last few day tickets for the Isle of Wight Festival you may be keen to find out how best to secure accommodation over this busy weekend.
There is still plenty of Isle of Wight accommodation available for last minute booking but you are unlikely to find accommodation very close to the festival site. But don’t despair with a little research you can still have a great stress-free weekend.
The festival site is just outside of the town of Newport, which is the hub of the Isle of Wight. Although it is not the most tourist orientated town on the Island it is the centre of the Island’s public transport hub. This means that you will still be able to get to the Festival site by bus very easily.
When looking at IOW hotels it is still worth thinking carefully about it’s location to ensure you are close to one of the major bus routes for greatest ease. It is worth bearing in mind that the festival site is just off the main road from Ryde to Newport. This road is likely to be highly congested and subject to police traffic controls. For this reason I would suggest you avoid staying in Ryde.
It is still worth trying to find accommodation within Newport as this will put you within walking distance of the festival site. It is also worth considering accommodation in Cowes. Not only is it easily reached from the mainland, with a ferry terminal nearby, it also allows you to enjoy some time in one of Europe’s premier sailing destinations.
Perhaps the best area to stay in would be Sandown or Shanklin. Choosing accommodation in this area will allow you to use either the no 2 or no 8 bus routes to Newport. Both of which have a frequent service and will only take you about half an hour.
Whatever you choose, you’re sure to have a great festival experience. Why not stay on after the festival in your Isle of Wight accommodation and enjoy the more sedate attractions the Island has to offer.

The Isle of Anglesey
The Isle of Anglesey is a place of peace, a beautiful coastline and home to over 200 festivals during the year. A jazz festival, walking festival, beer festival, boat festival, Viking festivals and many, many more took place during 2008.

Llandudno and Colwyn Bay
Landudno is a pretty Victorian seaside resort found at the foot of the Great Orme. There are a number of things to do in the area including the ability to build sandcastles in the morning and hot the ski slopes in the afternoon.

Rhyl and Prestatyn
Rhyl and Pretatyn both enjoy hotter and sunnier summer than many areas in Wales yet its not just the weather that people flock here to enjoy. There are Fairgrounds, castles, an aquarium, watersports activities, cycling and even an indoor beach!

North Wales Borderlands
One of the most famous features of the North Wales boarders is the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct sometime referred to as ‘the stream in the sky’. The aqueduct is the world tallest canal boat crossing and offers some amazing views of beautiful North Wales.

Snowdonia Mountains and Coast
Snowdonia is the highest mountain in all of England and Wales and is a huge draw for any walking or climbing fans. None walking or climbing fans can still enjoy the beautiful scenery the National Park has to offer.

Ceredigion
Legend has it that the Devils Bridge that spans the Mynach River is so called because it was built by the devil in exchange for the soul of the fist who crossed it. The clever towns people however tricked the devil by sending a dog across the bridge first. Maybe this is why one of the most striking landmarks in the area has had to be rebuilt twice since then!

Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire has long been popular with tourists who flock to stay in Pembrokeshire Cottages, hotels, b&b’s and campsites each and every year. Its no wonder they do as the area has one of the finest coastlines to be found anywhere in Britain, with stunning views, sand beaches and an abundant wildlife.

Cornwall’s best beaches are a matter of opinion. They depend on what you’re looking for and what kind of beach experience you really want. Porthcurno and Kynance are great for scenery. Fistral Beach is for surfing. If you’re looking for a great beach cafe, you should go to Porthminster, and if you’re out with your family Marazion is a good choice - but any of the blue flag beaches are great options. Most of the beaches that are available throughout Cornwall are beautiful areas, but which one is right for you will come down to whether you like a certain type of beach over another type of beach. That’s perfectly understandable, and not everyone is going to like the same kinds of beaches and the same kinds of opportunities that other people like. No matter which beach (or beaches) you decide to visit while you’re in Cornwall, though, you can have a great time with family and friends, or even on your own. You don’t have to go to the beaches that others recommend if they aren’t what you’re looking for, and doing your research about the various beaches can also help you determine which ones you want to spend most of your time at.
Don’t ignore other people’s recommendations, of course, but form your own opinions on the kinds of beautiful beaches you want to enjoy. Because Cornwall has so many different ones and almost all of them are great places to be, you can surf one day and go to see the scenery the next day. Then you can have lunch at a beach cafe or spend the day frolicking with your family. You can do all of these things in different places and still be at the beach each time, which is a great way to enjoy a holiday whether you’re travelling with a big group or on a more secluded trip. Beaches are very popular with a lot of people, and even those who don’t want to lie in the sun all day can find things to enjoy because there is surfing and animal watching, and there are great places to eat, as well.
