Pembrokeshire plays host to one of Britain’s premier food festivals each summer with the Pembrokeshire Fish Week. This years event takes place from 26th June to the 4th July and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Pembrokeshire Fish Week is a celebration of the counties amazing seafood, the stunning coastline and its proud fishing heritage. The event has won a number of awards since its 2000 launch including the Gold award for Food Tourism Destination 2009/10 at the Wales True Taste Awards.

If you are staying in a Pembrokeshire cottage between the 26th June and the 4th July the Fish Week event is a must visit as not only do can you enjoy a wide range of seafood cooked in numerous styles but you can also enjoy a fun family day out.

Not only can you eat some amazing seafood dishes but you can also learn how to cook some for yourself at master classes, cookery lessons, talks, tastings and demonstrations. To help with classes’ celebrity chefs Val Warner, Angela Gray Mitch Tonks and Matt Tebbutt will be on hand passing on words of wisdom and top tips.

For those who want to explore the Pembrokeshire coastline further there are a number of opportunities during Fish Week to do just that. Why not visit some of the areas award winning beaches or take a cruise around the bird haven of Skomer Island before returning to the mainland for a sumptuous feast. If you wan to work up an appetite for all that seafood then why not try your hand at coasteering with friendly and qualified instructors available to help guide you through this exciting new sport.

After a day of great fun and amazing views you can head back to your Wales costal cottage feeling happy and content and full of good food.
