Anyone who is a fan of the world’s most famous female murder mystery writer can now step back in time and experience for themselves the private home of “Agatha Christie”. The house known as “Greenway “ was the holiday home where Agatha was inspired to write many of her world best selling books and also the area where she set many of her stories and plots.

Agatha Christies former holiday home “Greenway “is situated just outside the beautiful historic fishing town of Brixham heading in the direction of Paignton, which is in easy access from both towns or anywhere within the English Riviera. If you are staying at any of the Devon Holiday Park sites in the area or a Caravan Site Devon in or around the Brixham area you can even catch a ride on the local “Greenway Ferry service” if you want to arrive in style and avoid traffic. Plus arriving by boat only adds to the magic and mystique of Agatha Christies’ world. The ferry is available from various points along the local coastline, but if you are a land lover you can catch one of the many buses to Greenway, as well as cycle or take the nearby train.

Greenway house is open daily for visitor’s, you can enjoy the freedom to walk around the 1950’s period styled house and take a guided tour to view many of the family’s collections, including archaeology, silver, Tunbridgeware, botanical china and books. Outside the property you can find access to the beautiful well kept gardens which over look the bay. It’s a great day out for all the family and one to remember.
