Royal Crescent Bath

The picturesque Spa city of Bath is steeped in history from throughout the ages, most notably from the mark of that of the Roman Empire left in its legacy, right through to the Georgian period of English history and its architecture of many houses and buildings that can be seen around the city. It is definitely a place to visit if you want a real mix of culture, historic periods and the twist of modern times thrown into the mix with its Bath Spa Breaks.

As a city Bath is relatively small as cities go, fortunately for visitors the key places to see and the cities highlighted attractions are mostly in and around the city centre, so that makes more easily accessible on foot or a short bus ride for the less energetic. I’m sure the first on most peoples visit list is the “Roman Baths” in the city centre here you can go back in time and get a feel for a place that was in regular use by its local Roman residents.

Adjacent to the Roman Bath’s is the beautiful Georgian “Grand Pump Room”, which allows visitors to experience and sample the same water that fills its neighbouring Roman building. In modern times currently you can enjoy locally prepared produce in the buildings restaurant, whilst listening to the relaxing music of the resident musical ensemble.

The other iconic place from Bath that must be on your list is the famous “The Royal Crescent” that takes part of its name “crescent” as it is shaped as its namesake and over looks the lovely Royal Victoria Park. This is just a taste of what the City of Bath has to offer, why not explore more of the sights when you take your next stay at a Bath Hotel.
