During a day on the English Riviera there are many adventures waiting for you, from historical sights to see, scenic coastal walks to explore and plenty of relaxing places to experience like one of the many picturesque sandy beaches. So why not consider something different during an evening?

Why not visit one of the many small town theatres like the one in Brixham, which was formed in 2008 and is run by a small dedicated and talented group of like minded people, which always guarantees innovative and imaginative performances whatever time of year you care to visit.

Just south of Brixham is the Carlton Theatre in Teignmouth, run entirely by the Teignmouth Players Amateur Dramatic Society. They also offer inspiring productions of a professional standard to their small local theatre. Performances are creatively played out within such a relatively small stage space, with sets that have been carefully designed to be quick and easily manoeuvrability if front of the audience.

This year has seen productions from Hi-de-Hi to a Jazz festival, the Christmas season will be the chance to see the popular children’s classic pantomime ‘Jack in the Beanstalk’. This adaptation on the classic will begin on the 27th December, running through till the 7th of January 2012.

For this and other forms of entertainment around Brixham while relaxing on your Devon holidays, why not consider a stay at a Torbay caravan for your next weekend break or holiday, giving you easy access to all the local places of interest.
