Rye Bay Scallop Week – 25th February – 4th March 2012

The Rye Bay Scallop Week takes place in the historical coastal town of Rye. It is an annual event which features an array of local attractions dedicated to the scallop and other seafood cuisine. During the week long festival you can enjoy various displays by local chefs, as well as workshop taster sessions at various daytime and evening venues. There is also a farmer’s market that features local fish and seafood vendors.

Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival – 30th March – 9th April 2012

This is a local festival which celebrates local food, wine and beers; it takes place at various participating venues around Brighton & Hove and offers visitors a chance to try locally made fayre from producers around the region.

The Food & South Downs Fair – 6th – 7th May 2012

This event is a two day rural festival held in the beautiful South Down’s countryside area and offers visitors a wonderful choice of local delicious foods from a range of producers. There will be tastings, cookery classes and demonstrations from local specialists. The fair celebrates many aspects of downland rural life.
