Walkers, businessman and tourists are to be handed a boost this summer, after theDublincity council approved a scheme enabling free wifi throughout the Irish capital’s beautiful parks.

Beautiful green spaces such as St Stephen’s Green andMerrion Squarewill be equipped with free internet facilities, which could be available to users by July.

The news comes after public transport service Dublin Bus announced it was trialling free wifi, reflectingDublin’s prominence as a thoroughly modern, yet gloriously traditional location.

It is hoped the scheme will accompany major occasions taking place throughout the city toward the end of the year, such as the Tall Ships Races 2012, of whichDublinis the final host port.

Yet another addition to this fantastic European city, the Irish capital is fast becoming one of the premier holiday destinations and there are a number of fantastic hotels In Dublin.
