Check out the Louis Vuitton exhibition when staying in Paris hotelsAn exhibition in Paris exploring the history of the Louis Vuitton company has opened, charting the elegant evolution of the French fashion house.

Founded in 1854, the famous LV bag pattern was patented by Louis Vuitton himself in 1877 and remained a striking feature of their bag products for 120 years until creative control of the company went to American fashion designer Marc Jacobs.

The exhibition, which has opened at the Musee Les Arts Decoratifs and will run until September, will draw on similarities between Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs, despite them living and working in different centuries.

Pamela Gobin, the museum curator, said: “they’re both visionaries, though they would be the last to admit it, and they both lived an exact same story at a decisive moment in fashion”, explaining why she wanted to make the comparison between the two.

Why not come and see this fabulous addition to the European capital of culture and combine it with a stay in one of the excellent Paris hotels.
