A spectacular festival celebrating the moving image is to take place in Barcelona this summer, in what will be a massive combination by some of the most talented artists in and around the Catalonian capital.

The Barcelona Screen Festival, which will take place in locations across the stunning Spanish city presenting approximately four thousand works, will run from 17 May – 2 June.

Some of the cultural institutions in Barcelona’s vast artistic landscape helping to mark the occasion include the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, the Tapies Foundation and the La Virreina Image Centre.

Renowned for its unique, collaborative nature of its programme, the festival acts as a platform for local and international artists hoping to broadcast their work on a grand scale.

Should you wish to embark on a European city break to one of the idyllic hotels in Barcelona this summer, be sure to take in some marvellous new works on show throughout the festival’s tenure.
