Tourists staying in any of the hotels in Edinburgh have been given yet another fantastic attraction to embark on, following the addition of a brand new history tour to its award winning portfolio.

Known as the ‘Edinburgh World Heritage Official Tour’, it offers a seven mile trek around both the New and Old town areas of the city, taking in a series of breathtaking views and fascinating facts along the way. I t gives visitors the chance to explore the landmark events which have helped shaped the Scottish capital throughout history, visiting exciting cultural institutions such as the Dean Gallery, the 19th century St Mary’s Cathedral and the exquisite Georgian house designed by Robert Adam.

It’s taken a lot of preparation but the organisers are said to be elated with the new venture.
