Three pygmy marmosets born at Dublin ZooZookeepers at Dublin Zoo have welcomed the attraction’s latest arrivals, after three pygmy marmoset babies were born.

The adorable creatures, which are new world monkeys native to the rainforest canopies of western Brazil, eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru and northern Bolivia, are currently being looked after by its mother and father in the South American House at the zoo, with workers constantly casting a watchful eye over the trio.

Also known as a ‘dwarf monkey’, the pygmy marmoset is the world’s smallest monkey, measuring only about 15 cm in length when fully grown.

The arrivals follow a spate of births over the past year at Dublin Zoo, with the likes of a baby giraffe and a baby gorilla also enjoying life at the attraction.

Why not explore the diverse selection of enclosures available whilst enjoying a break at one of the fine Dublin hotels?
