Edinburgh bidding to become curry capital of the UKWhile Edinburgh is renowned for its range of stunning architecture and beautiful cultural landmarks, it seems the Scottish capital is now attempting to establish itself as the curry capital of Britain.

The vibrant city has been on the receiving end of various awards recently, with accolades such as top concert venues and best greenspaces boosting its status as one of the most sought after locations in the British Isles. With Edinburgh also being voted the best tourism attraction in the UK, it’s not hard to see why visitor levels to the city have skyrocketed in recent years.

With Edinburgh’s culinary establishments securing 8 of the 14 prizes on offer at the Scottish Restaurant Awards, it certainly puts the capital in good stead for the honour. Just one of the establishments hoping to bring home the crown is the Mithas, which was named the Indian restaurant of the year after just seven months of opening.

You can nominate your favourite Indian restaurant until August 24, all you have to do is fill out the form on The Federation of Specialist Restaurants website. If you have already booked into one of the Edinburgh hotels in the coming months, why not indulge in a beautiful curry from one of the array of impeccable curry houses? Every cote counts, so make sure yours is in on time!
