Tourism Ireland has scooped a second successive US award, seeing off competition from the likes of Great Britain, France, Italy and Greece.

The WAVE (Western Agents Vote of Excellence) awards, presented annually to recognise the most outstanding destinations, tour operators, travel agents, airlines and cruise companies, saw Ireland voted as the ‘destination with the highest client satisfaction’.

Upon receiving the award, Neil Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, expressed his delight at the recognition, praising the country’s easy going people and excellent visitor attractions.

A key element to the success of Tourism Ireland is the capital, one of the most sought after destinations for travellers all over the world and a focal point for developments and projects currently being fronted by the organisation.

Boasting a range of fantastic cultural institutions and some vibrant nightlife, be sure to check it out whilst enjoying a stay in one of the fine Dublin hotels this year, for an unforgettable European break.
