Patch the dog reunited with owner after heading to Dublin on the trainIt seems everyone wants to visit Dublin, and with its incredible array of sights, sounds and experiences it’s little wonder why so many people take advantage of some of the beautiful Dublin hotels throughout the year.

One train passenger clearly eager to visit the Irish capital was Patch who, a Jack Russell terrier went missing from his home on Tuesday night. In a peculiar chain of events, it seems Patch jumped onboard a train heading for the city from rural Kilcock and reached Dublin’s Pearse Street Station after spending an hour on board the bustling train. Irish rail acted immediately to the arrival of the four legged visitor, taking a picture and posting it on the social network platform Twitter in the hope of reuniting it with its owner.

After a flurry of more than 500 tweets in less than 32 minutes, his owner tweeted stating her elation over finding her prized pooch. With the pair reuniting, owner Deidre Anglin will be keeping a closer eye on Patch to ensure he doesn’t set off again.
