British_AirwaysIt has been announced that British Airways is planning to double its frequency on flights between London Heathrow and Dublin, with the measure meaning the airline could potentially carry more than 600,000 passengers every year on the route.

The development, which will see flights between the two cities increased to eight times a day, comes after British Airways doubled their revenue out of Ireland by 40% last year. With the city proving to be such a popular location for city breaks around the calendar, the news allows for even better access for those looking to enjoy the city.

It now puts British Airways back in competition with Aer Lingus, with the Irish airline recently confirming it was planning to extend its services between Heathrow and Dublin to 12 times a day.

With the changes set to come into force from October, it gives a fantastic means of transport for anyone looking to enjoy a stay in one of the beautiful hotels in Dublin.
