Tourism officials in the French capital are set to report some extremely encouraging figures from this year’s holiday season.

The Paris tourism office has confirmed that the numbers of people coming to the city over the summer were up, whilst there was a surge in foreign visits, including a boost in visitors from Britain, which some experts are putting down to the ‘displacement effect’ of the London Olympic Games.

Bookings were said to be up 26 per cent in Paris by one British accommodation provider, which books hotel rooms across Paris and other cities around Europe.

It is now thought the overall total of hotel stays in the French capital will surpass the previous record of 15.6m.

Come and see why the famous city is such a popular destination for holidaymakers all over the world and enjoy the array of culture, art and vibrant nightlife whilst taking a break in one of the fine Paris hotels.
