Why Not Consider a Holiday in Scarborough or Whitby?

The Scarborough and Whitby area of North Yorkshire offers a wonderful part of the country to visit as a holiday destination. This picturesque part of the Yorkshire region has a wealth of beautiful countryside and miles of coastline to experience and enjoy during a holiday.

There are loads of places to visit, local attractions and things to do whatever time of year you choose to visit this historical part of Yorkshire. These two historical coastal resort towns offer a chance to visitors to experience two beautiful places which hark back to the Victorian era, when many people from around the country decided to take their holidays at the seaside.

Today, there many reminders of the historical side of both Scarborough and Whitby, Whitby being the smaller of the two resorts. It gives you the impression that you’re stepping back in time with its old narrow cobbled streets in the old town, especially in and around the shambles area. On the quayside you can still see many of the local fishing boats when they are in the harbour.

If you fancy a trip out on the sea, why not partake in one of the many pleasure cruise guided tours? They’ll take you out along the scenic coastline so you can enjoy an array of wildlife and a different perspective of this amazing stretch of coast.
