Edinburgh museum to host late-night masquerade eventThe finale of the National Museum of Scotland’s well-received exhibition chronicling the life and times of Catherine the Great is to reach a climax with a special, late-night spectacular which will allow guests to experience this fine institution like never before.

‘Behind the Masque’ will take place at the Edinburgh landmark from 7PM on Friday the 19th October, after doors have closed to the general public, and will feature, amongst many other highlights, live music, a silent disco, a chillout zone, film screenings and much more. Tickets cost £10/8 for just the event (at which masks will be encouraged), or £18/16 to combine it with a viewing of the Catherine displays itself.

The ‘Lates’ at the NMS always sell out quickly, so anyone wishing to attend will have to be quick off the mark to make sure they book their tickets and a place to stay at one of the  hotels in Edinburgh sooner rather than later.
