JK Rowling to headline Scottish Book FestivalThe reputation of the Lennoxlove Book Festivals is set to be massively increased this year after the acclaimed author J.K. Rowling announced her intentions to headline the event.

One of Scotland’s newest and smallest festivals, it is a fantastic development and one that is sure to be a huge draw for fans of the written word. She is famous for creating the Harry Potter novels, one of the best selling book series of all time. The appearance is to be the only promotional event for her latest novel, The Casual Vacancy, on the 27 September. Set in a fictional English village, it will be her first ever novel written for adults.

The Lennoxlove Book Festival will take place in Haddington from the 2-4 November, with J.K. Rowling featuring on the opening night. Tickets are set to be open to be public on the 13 September. It’s the perfect event to combine with a stay in one of the beautiful Edinburgh hotels nearby.
