Take Part in the Snowdonia Walking Festival this Autumn

Snowdonia Walking Festival

If you are planning a trip to the magnificent Snowdonia National Park for a relaxing break and staying in one of the many North Wales self catering cottages on offer, you will be well placed to enjoy the forthcoming Snowdonia Walking Festival during October 12 – 14.

This year’s Snowdonia Walking Festival has been coordinated by Visit Wales and Tourism Partnership North Wales in conjunction with the Wales Air Ambulance charity. This event will feature a variety of half and full-day guided walks for a variety of fitness levels at varying altitudes, which will allow walkers to experience the wonderful scenery of the Snowdonia National Park at all levels.

Currently, there are twelve different walks to choose from, with pricing ranging from £15 – £20 per person per walk. The Snowdonia Walking Festival’s specially designed walks will not only provide a scenic way to exercise, but also educational guided walks which will inform participants about important historical and environmental aspects through lectures and talks along each route.

Most of the walks will have durations of between 1 – 7 hours; there will be plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful Welsh countryside within the Snowdonia National Park, with plenty of stops along the way to discuss the area, the wildlife, the geology and local history.

Snowdonia is famous the world over for its wonderful rugged beauty, with Betws-y-Coed being long renowned for its stunning scenery, emerald forests and vibrant rivers.
