Unlimited free WiFi access comes to Dublin AirportOfficials at Dublin Airport have announced that the transport hub is to become one of the only in Europe to grant people passing through free and unlimited WiFi access.

The Commercial Director of the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), Maurice Hennessy, said that the move will come into effect immediately and that any passengers or those waiting in the airport will not have to undertake any sort of registration to make use of it.

With other sites like Belfast International currently charging £5.99 for 90 minutes of internet usage and €6.00 for half an hour at Amsterdam Schiphol, Dublin is now leading the way when it comes to affordable broadband connectivity; in July, people in the airport spent well over 200,000 hours surfing through WiFi, so the change is sure to make a big difference.

This announcement will be warmly greeted by any businesspeople or holidaymakers who are planning on staying in any of the fine hotels in Dublin in the future, with WiFi access still being relatively expensive within most similar sized airports.
