Exciting new restaurant opened by Chef Antonin Bonnet up in ParisAn exciting new restaurant has been opened in Paris, adding yet another dimension to the city acclaimed culinary scene.

At a location where Napoleon’s soldiers were once conscripted in the 19th century, Chef Antonin Bonnet has opened Le Sergent Recruteur.

The exciting new eatery intends to bridge the Rive Droite (right bank) and Rive Gauche (left bank) culinary styles, and some of the establishment’s menus include fish from the last permitted fisherman of the Loire – the longest river in France – home-made ricotta and Parisian street food.

Other special dishes include mackerel marinated in lime juice, line-caught red tuna from St. Jean de Luz, turbot roasted with fennel and hay-matured pigeon with pomegranate and glazed turnip.

Designed by Spaniard Jaime Hayon, the intimate setting includes a bar and a 10-seat chef’s table in the basement.

It is a must visit for all foodies planning a break to one of the excellent hotels in Paris over the coming months.
