There is loads to get up to during your break in Bath.

If you’re thinking of visiting Bath this festive season, there are a number of great Christmas events that are well worth a look. The city is well known for its annual celebrations and this blog takes a look at a few of the most popular.

The Bath Christmas Markets

If you’re enjoying a stay in one of the many Bath hotels, the Bath Christmas Markets make for the perfect day out. The seasonal markets take place between November 22nd and December 9th and are packed full of great gifts and goods for sale and are famed for the unique atmosphere.

Bath on Ice

For those feeling a little braver, the city also sports an ice rink during the winter months. The open air ice rink is always a popular attraction, especially with visitors staying in local accommodation in Bath. The ice rink will be in town from November 23rd through to December 16th.

The Pantomime

A festive tradition that will be taking place all round the country, the pantomime makes for a fantastic family evening out. This year’s panto is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and will take place at the Theatre Royal from December 13th through to January 13th.

Carols by Candlelight

The final festive item on our list is the stunning Carols by Candlelight event, which takes place at the Pump Room every year. What better way to kick off Christmas than with traditional carols sung by the City of Bath Bach Choir? The carols are sung every night from December 19th – 21st.
