ice hockey skatesTourists flocking to the French capital for their Christmas holidays have been urged to get their skates on after an ice rink under the vaulted glass dome of the Grand Palais landmark opened to the public.

Billed as the largest of its kind at an impressive 1,800-square-metres, the seasonal rink opened last week to much celebration, with many lauding the experience for its stunning setting and vibrant scenery.

Costing €12 for adults, which includes skate rental, and €6 for children – with free entry for kids under the age of 3 – the ice rink is even open for night skaters on Thursdays through to Saturdays until 2 am, although the venue will melt away after 6 January.

Come and enjoy a memorable day of ice skating whilst enjoying a last minute break in one of the excellent hotels in Paris over the coming days. It could make for a memorable Christmas vacation the whole family can enjoy.
