Massive guitar festival to make debut in EdinburghPlans have been announced to bring a new guitar and musical festival to the Scottish capital next year in a bid to improve the Scottish music industry.

Running at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange from 25 – 27 May, the three-day Edinburgh Guitar and Music Festival is being touted as the largest of its kind in Scotland and will feature up to 60 separate shows – including two competitions for school-aged budding musicians culminating in a final.

Other highlights will include performances from German acoustic guitar virtuoso Peter Finger, Italian artist Daniele Bazzani, swing jazz guitarist Anth Purdy and Scotland’s very own jazz export Nigel Clark – although further acts are yet to be confirmed.

The event has been organised by Ged Brockie and Adam Dzierzek, both of whom have experience on Edinburgh’s West End, and the former said he was ‘confident’ the festival would attract thousands.

A perfect event for music-lovers to embrace, be sure to check it out whilst enjoying a break in one of the excellent Edinburgh hotels.
