Its excellent reputation as a city break destination has been further boosted after a leading tourism body confirmed that Paris is once again the most popular tourist destinations in the world.

According to a report issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council, the top five destinations are Paris, London, New York, the Turkish resort of Antalya and Singapore. It comes during what will be a record for international tourism, with an expected one billion tourists set to cross an international border before the end of 2012.

With landmarks like the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Notre Dame cathedral, this incredible city’s status in the world’s tourism scene clearly isn’t just by chance.
