Streets Of DublinPlans aimed at revolutionising Dublin’s tourist hub include eradicating Temple Bar Square in favour of recasting it as ‘Dubliners Square’ to commemorate Irish novelist and poet James Joyce.

The strategy is just one of 20 objectives outlined in a new report aptly named Temple Bar Company: Supporting the Quarter, which has been designed to address every aspect of the 28-acre area.

Some of the recommendations made by the report include a cap on fast-food stores, the replacement of cobble stones in pedestrian areas, several new and exciting museums and the restoration of 269 protected buildings, with the group behind the proposals hoping to complete its objectives by the year 2020.

A stunning and vibrant city that is renowned for a happening night life, a slew of fine-dining restaurants and an array of excellent cultural attractions, it represents a great place to enjoy a break whilst in the luxury of one of the excellent Dublin hotels.
