Spanish Grand Prix looks set to stay in BarcelonaAfter months of heavy speculation, it seems that the Spanish Grand Prix looks set to stay in Barcelona after race organisers announced they have no plans to alternate the contest between the Catalonian capital and Valencia.

The speculation began when it was revealed that the European Grand Prix would be hosted one final time inValencia. It had then been discussed whether or not the existing Spanish Grand Prix could be shared between the Circuit de Catalunya inBarcelonaand the Valencia Street Circuit.

However, organisers of the Spanish Grand Prix are determined for this not to happen, saying they have the contract until 2016 and plan to keep the contest in the city until 2020 if negotiations go successfully.

With tickets still available for next year’s Spanish Grand Prix, which takes place from the 10-12 May, it offers a fantastic sporting event to enjoy during a stay in one of the many hotels in Barcelona.
