Items not to forget on your singles ski holiday

If you are heading off on Singles Skiing Holidays,  you will need to make sure that you bring all of the equipment you need. Making a list can be a great help; not only will it ensure that you don’t leave anything behind, but also gives you a clear picture of how much you will need to take.

One of the first things to do is to check before leaving on Ski holidays for singles your airline’s luggage policies. Depending upon your ticket type you may have restrictions on just how much you can take with you. Skis and other skiing accessories are certainly not the smallest of items, so being clear on any size or weight limits can deter any drama at the airport check in desk.

Obviously, unless you are hiring them, make sure you pack your skis, boots, jacket and trousers. There are many other essential items such as gloves and socks that will keep you warm that you certainly cannot forget to pack. Obviously, you will be able to buy pretty much every item at your ski resort, but to save you money if applicable you should be taking whatever you can carry, giving you more money to spend on enjoy yourself.

Experience an African Safari

Safaris are one of the great holidays. They’re considered up there with visiting the pyramids or swimming with dolphins as something you should definitely try to do in your life time. The opportunity to get out and see some of the most amazing animals in the world during an African safari is definitely one that should be seized upon.

Whether you are travelling in a group of family or friends, or have taken the opportunity to meet new people and learn more about yourself on a solo holiday, there’s no doubt that you will find a safari very satisfying. If you decide which region you’d like to visit, and thus what animals you’re likely to see, then researching and anticipating the holiday can make the whole thing much more interesting once you’re actually there. Spotting the behaviours and displays the animals put on when you know what to look for can be very educational and rewarding.

The days aren’t the only parts of an African safari worth mentioning though. In the evening you’ll have a chance to mingle with your fellow safari goers and recount the day’s events. The memories, and photos, that you gather on a holiday like this are priceless, and it’s these evenings that will allow you to cement everything that has happened that day in your memory. Without proper resting sessions, everything will become a blur, but with adequate time to reflect on the incredible things that have happened to you each day, you’ll find everything stays that much clearer and you’ll enjoy your holiday that much more.

Scarborough Beaches

Scarborough has been a popular seaside resort for over 100 years now and it’s no wonder with two such lovely beaches on the town’s doorstep. So if you’re looking for a day out at the beaches why not read on and find out what’s on offer.

The South Bay is the closest to the town and usually the one that draws the crowds, with such lovely golden sands and town side beach front it’s no wonder this is the case. The beach itself makes for a fantastic family friendly atmosphere with activities all year round. You can enjoy the beautiful, if slightly cooler waters and go for a swim, or enjoy the sand art that’s frequently created on the beach. There’s the award winning Donkey rides throughout the year too and sand castle competitions are often held during the summer months.

If the South Bay sounds a little too busy for you then a day out to the North Bay may be for you. The North Bay is usually the quieter of the two, a great way to escape the crowds of the South Bay, as it’s a little more remote. The bay backs onto a series of cliff side gardens, which mean that there a lot less shops and amusement arcades but still enough places to grab a bite to eat. Part of the North Bay allows dogs too so it’s a great place for a stroll for any dog walkers out there.

So if you’re staying in one of the many Scarborough Hotels then why not consider a trip to the beaches!
